Curriculum at Integration
Our curriculum is based around each learner and incorporates the following 6 learning areas
Integration is a unit which provides a broad and balanced curriculum for students in KS3 & KS4 who are unable to access mainstream education.
At Integration our curriculum allows students to study the core subjects of Mathematics and English as well as a range of subjects which includes Creative Art, Geography, History, PSHE, Citizenship. In addition we include practical subjects such as PE, Practical Skills, Cooking.
Integration is set-up to provide short-term school placements with the aim of finding an appropriate long-term setting. Limited qualifications can be gained which include:-
- AQA Functional Skills English and Maths at : Entry Level, Levels 1 and 2
- AQA unit awards
An appreciation and respect for the community and diversity of society is fostered throughout the pupils’ time with us. At Integration, our aim is also to encourage learners to achieve and develop into productive citizens of the future. To that end, we also offer: PSE, Religious Education, Tenner Challenge and Practical skills. iCollege may include woek experience placements, and a regular meeting with the iCollege’s appointed ADVIZA IPA.
At Integration, we place a strong emphasis on supporting our young people’s mental health and well- being and have trained staff who are further supported by staff from Emotional Health Academy. In addition to this, iCollege has its own family support worker along with a qualified counsellor who can be accessed via referral.
