                                        Safeguarding Children Statement

  • The iCollege and its Management Committee take seriously their responsibility to protect and safeguard the welfare of children and

    young people in their care; this includes providing help and support to meet the needs of children as soon as problems emerge;

    protecting children from maltreatment whether that is within or outside the home, including online ; preventing impairment of

    children’s mental and physical health or development; ensuring that children grow up in circumstances consistent with the

    provision of safe and effective care; and taking action to enable all children to have best outcomes.

  • The iCollege and its Management Committee ‘ensure that staff have the skill, means and training necessary to ensure children and young people are protected from harm’. *
  • The iCollege and its Management Committee endeavour to ensure that we work together with all agencies, services and other provision regarding the safeguarding and wellbeing of children in our care. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.

    Stressheads: Support to lower our stress levels

    Stay Alive: Support for those who may experience suicidal thoughts/feelings

    Self Help Anxiety Management (Samapp): Support and techniques to help manage anxiety and panic

    Moodometer: Created by the NHS. Allows you to track your moods and what has influenced it. Also provides ways to lift your mood.

    Calm Harm: Activities to assist in the management of self-harm.

    Grief support for young people: Information about grief, bereavement and the feelings we may experience when we lose a loved one.
